Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Shoulder/Chest.
Most clients experience smooth results for four to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth and hormones. Regular appointments every four to eight weeks maintain the look and can gradually slow and reduce regrowth over time.
Waxing can sometimes cause ingrown hairs or mild irritation. Prevent them by exfoliating gently after the recommended waiting period, keeping the area moisturized, and avoiding tight clothing. We also recommend professional aftercare products and follow-up treatments.
Come with clean, dry skin and hair about a quarter-inch long for best results. Avoid heavy creams, oils, or recent tanning, and inform us of medications or skin treatments that might increase sensitivity.
Sensitivity varies; many feel brief discomfort that subsides quickly. We use techniques to minimize pain. Aftercare includes cooling the area, avoiding sun exposure and hot baths for 24 hours, and gentle moisturizing to promote healing.
If skin is sunburned, irritated, or broken, wait until healed. For sensitive skin, we can perform a patch test, use gentler wax options, and tailor aftercare to reduce irritation. Always disclose skin concerns before treatment.
Ideally hair should be about 1/4 inch (approximately 6 mm) long so the wax can grip properly. If hair is longer, we may trim slightly; if too short, waiting a week or two will improve results.
